As an educational consultant, I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant outcomes. I am an accomplished and results-oriented educational leader with a proven record in accreditation, assessment, academic affairs, and educational research. I have more than 25 years of increasingly responsible experience in higher education, including academic program management, academic program assessment, adult learning, computer-based test development and administration, curriculum development, distance education, faculty development, focus groups, instructional design, item-writing, program development, program evaluation, project management, student learning assessment, survey research, and teaching. I am skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional quality. I have demonstrated experience with interpreting and applying accreditation standards and policies to academic programs (e.g., SACSCOC, SCHEV, ACPE, AACN).

​Currently, I serve as the executive director of institutional effectiveness at Virginia State University.  Previously, I worked at Virginia Commonwealth University for over 20 years -- as director of academic program development in the Office of the Provost; director of education and assessment in the School of Pharmacy, and an instructional designer in the School of Medicine.
